Overview
SharkBetX (SBX) is a sports-betting exchange built on Polymarket's order book. In plain terms, it takes the order books of Polymarket, the world's largest prediction market and by some distance the deepest sports prediction-market liquidity that exists, and wraps them in the interface a serious bettor actually wants: a leagues sidebar, a match list, back/lay odds cells, a bet slip, and live scores.
For matched bettors and volume bettors, that's pretty much the whole story. The liquidity you're matching against is Polymarket's, the prices are exchange prices set by other traders rather than a bookmaker's margin, and there's no operator sitting between you and a winning account. You connect a browser wallet, deposit USDC on the Polygon blockchain, and bet. No application, no KYC, no source-of-funds questionnaire, and (this is the big one) no limits or bans for winning.
The exchange: back & lay on Polymarket
The core product is the exchange, and it looks and behaves like a modern betting exchange, with the mechanics professionals expect. If you've used Betfair or an Orbit-based exchange, you'll be placing bets within minutes.
The commission model will feel familiar too: a flat 3% on net winnings, charged only when a bet wins. What's different is everything underneath it: namely Polymarket liquidity, self-custody, and no operator reserving the right to slap a premium charge on consistent winners.
- Back and lay on every market: standard exchange logic mapped onto Polymarket's YES/NO event contracts.
- Order types built for the situation: GTC (Good Till Cancelled) to rest a price, FAK (Fill And Kill) for instant live fills.
- 20+ leagues with live scores, each with a search box and Live / Prematch / Today / Tomorrow / Future filters.
- Live bet tracking: unmatched, matched and open positions all sit in a right-hand rail.
Odds, liquidity & execution
Exchange odds, not bookmaker odds. Prices on Polymarket are set by traders buying and selling outcome shares between $0.01 and $0.99, where the price simply is the implied probability. There's no built-in bookmaker margin to overcome, so the headline prices are routinely sharper than a fixed-odds book.
Polymarket-grade liquidity. Market depth comes from Polymarket, which on major fixtures is the deepest sports prediction-market liquidity available anywhere. For a volume bettor, this is really the point: you can get size matched without walking the price.
Optimized execution. SharkBetX adds smart order routing over the Polymarket order book, so your bet is worked into the market for a cleaner fill than you'd get clicking a raw market card by hand.
Honest caveat: because SBX rides Polymarket's books, depth and availability follow Polymarket. For the big leagues that's a strength; for an obscure fixture with no Polymarket market there's simply nothing to bet on, so check the match is listed before you plan around it.
Self-custody & no KYC
SharkBetX is non-custodial. Your funds sit in a SharkBetX-deployed vault smart contract on Polygon, and the code enforces that only you can withdraw your own funds. Betting moves your USDC through Polymarket's own unchanged contracts, and the operator never holds your balance on a company ledger.
- No account freezes or operator-insolvency risk: there's no balance sheet your money sits on.
- No limiting or banning of winners: no operator has the authority to decide you've won too much.
- No KYC, no application, no geo gate: you sign in by connecting a wallet and signing a free, gasless message.

VisitVisit SharkBetXOn-chain transparency
Everything that touches money is publicly verifiable on Polygonscan. Every deposit, every bet, and every settlement is an on-chain transaction, and SharkBetX surfaces that directly rather than asking you to take its word for it: an on-chain vault-balance check, an on-chain bet receipt for any settled bet, live trust stats on the landing page, and an in-app History tab that links each settled position out to its Polygonscan transaction.
Compare that with the opaque custodial ledgers of traditional exchanges and brokers, where you simply trust the number on the screen, and it's a different category of accountability. Settlement is automatic too: when a match finishes, winnings credit to your balance with no manual claiming.
Fees & commission
The economics are unusually clean, and they're modelled on the one exchange every serious bettor already knows: Betfair. A flat 3% commission applies to your net winnings, and only on bets that win. The headline prices carry no bookmaker margin, so the 3% is the whole cost of the product.
Nothing on losing bets, nothing on your stake. A losing bet costs you only your stake, with no charge layered on top. And unlike Betfair, there's no premium charge: winning more never makes it more expensive. Because settlement is on Polygon, gas runs well under $0.01 per transaction.
Here's the math: stake $100 at decimal odds of 2.00 and win, and your gross profit is $100. Commission is 3% of that profit, so $3, leaving you $97 net. Lose the bet and you simply lose the $100 stake, with no commission at all.
Funding & withdrawals
Funding is crypto-native. You need three things: a browser wallet, Bridged USDC (USDC.e) on Polygon, and a little POL for gas (around 1 POL, roughly $0.30, is plenty). Deposits and withdrawals are on-chain, land in seconds, and cost fractions of a cent.
The single biggest footgun is the difference between bridged and native USDC on Polygon. The SharkBetX vault takes bridged USDC.e (the contract ending …4174); the wrong, native token ends …3359. Wallets label the right one differently: Rabby calls it "USDC (Bridged)", MetaMask shows "USDC.e", Rango lists "USDC (PoS)". Match the token, chain and contract exactly, every time.
How to get started
There's no registration in the traditional sense, so no form and no KYC. The whole flow is wallet-first, and most users are placing a first bet within minutes of installing a wallet.
- Install a browser wallet (Rabby or MetaMask) on desktop and store your seed phrase offline.
- Switch to the Polygon network (Chain ID 137, currency POL).
- Get Bridged USDC (USDC.e) plus a little POL, easiest via a swap on Rango. Double-check the contract ends …4174.
- Connect your wallet and sign a free gasless message to prove ownership.
- Deposit to the vault (a one-time approval plus the deposit, under a cent in gas).
- Place your first bet: pick a league, click an odds cell, set your stake, and confirm.
Interface & settings
The interface is dark by default, fast, and refreshingly uncluttered. The settings are sensible for serious users: odds display switches between Decimal, American and Percentage (a live preview shows 2.500 = +150 = 40%), there's a confirm-before-cancel toggle, and there's an optional order-fill sound for when a resting GTC order gets matched.
There's also a secondary Poly Direct flow, for anyone who'd rather trade on their own Polymarket account and wallet, signing orders client-side through their own CLOB credentials, instead of using the managed vault. Most users won't need it, but it's there for the fully self-directed.
