Privacy Policy

What this site collects, why, who it goes to, and what you can ask us to do about it. Analytics and the newsletter both wait for your consent.

Written and reviewed by SureBets Editorial Team, following our methodology.

This policy describes what SureBets.bet collects, why, who it goes to, and what you can ask us to do about it. It covers this website only.

Who we are

SureBets.bet is an independent betting-tools and reviews site. We publish calculators, guides and operator reviews, and we earn commission from some of the operators we link to. That commercial relationship is disclosed on the pages it applies to, and it does not change what we collect from you.

For anything in this policy, including a request to see or delete what we hold, write to contact@surebets.bet.

What we collect

Analytics, only if you allow it

We use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages get read. It does not load until you accept it in the consent banner. Your choice is kept in your browser's local storage under the key surebets_analytics_consent_v1, so we do not have to ask again; it never leaves your device, and you can clear it at any time through your browser.

Advertising storage stays switched off whether or not you accept, and ad data redaction is switched on, so this data is not used to build an advertising profile of you. If you decline, no analytics is loaded at all.

The newsletter, if you sign up

Signing up sends the following to Customer.io, which runs the mailing list for us:

  • Your email address.
  • The page you signed up from, and the topic and site it belongs to, so the emails match what you were reading.
  • That you accepted updates including offers from betting partners, and when.
  • Your declaration that you are over 18 and of legal betting age where you live, and when you made it.

We do not keep the address on our own servers and we do not write it to our logs. It goes straight to Customer.io and nowhere else.

You are not on the list until you confirm from the email we send you. If you never confirm, nothing further is sent.

Stopping abuse of the signup form

A public form is a target for automated submissions. The signup endpoint holds the requesting IP address in memory for sixty seconds to limit repeated attempts from one source. It is not written to disk and not kept beyond that.

Embedded video

Some pages embed YouTube in privacy-enhanced mode, which avoids setting tracking cookies until you press play. Thumbnails load from YouTube's image servers. If you play a video, YouTube receives that request and its own privacy policy applies.

Links to operators

Links to bookmakers and exchanges are tagged so the operator can tell the visit came from us. If you follow one, that operator and its affiliate network see the referral and apply their own policies from that point on. We do not send them your email address or anything else about you.

What we do not do

  • No accounts, no comments, no file uploads, no payments. There is nothing to log into.
  • We do not sell or rent personal data, and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing.
  • We do not set advertising cookies or run retargeting.

Why we are allowed to hold it

Analytics and the newsletter both run on your consent, which you give by accepting the banner or ticking the signup box, and which you can withdraw at any time. The sixty-second rate limit runs on our legitimate interest in keeping the form usable.

How long we keep it

  • Newsletter: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. Unconfirmed signups are removed rather than kept.
  • Your consent choice: in your browser until you clear it.
  • Analytics: for the retention period set on our Google Analytics property, after which Google deletes it.
  • Rate-limit records: sixty seconds.

Who processes it for us

  • Customer.io (Peaberry Software, Inc.) for the mailing list.
  • Google for analytics, and only where you have consented.

Both are based in the United States, so accepting either means your data is transferred there. Those transfers rely on the standard contractual clauses and the transfer frameworks each provider maintains.

What you can ask for

You can ask us for a copy of what we hold, to correct it, to delete it, to stop using it, or to send it to you in a portable form. You can withdraw consent at any time: every email has an unsubscribe link that works without contacting anyone, and you can clear or change your analytics choice from the consent settings in the site footer.

Write to contact@surebets.bet and we will answer within one month. If you are in the UK or the EU and you are not satisfied with how we handled it, you can complain to your national data protection authority.

Age

This site is for adults. We do not knowingly collect anything from anyone under 18, and the newsletter requires you to confirm you are over 18 and of legal betting age where you live before you can sign up. If you believe a minor has given us their details, tell us and we will remove them.

Changes

If what we collect changes, this page changes with it, and the date below moves. Material changes to the newsletter will also be sent to the list.
