Mbappe Hat-Trick Inspires Real Madrid to 4-1 Win Over Real Sociedad

Kylian Mbappé stole the show at the Santiago Bernabeu as Real Madrid defeated Real Sociedad 4-1 on Wednesday night. The French superstar scored a brilliant hat-trick, while Vinícius Júnior added another goal to complete a memorable night for the Spanish giants. The final score may suggest that Real Madrid had an easy evening, but that was not exactly the case. Real Sociedad caused plenty of problems in the first half and went into the break level at 1-1. However, Madrid's lead did not last long. Just four minutes later, Luka Sucic took advantage of a loose ball inside the penalty area and fired past Courtois. Suddenly, the Bernabeu became uncomfortable again. Madrid had looked vulnerable at times, and the home supporters were not completely happy with what they were watching. The halftime whistle arrived with the score tied at 1-1. Madrid needed a response.

Mbappe Leads a Ruthless Second-Half

Whatever changed during the break worked. Real Madrid returned with much more energy and purpose. Mourinho introduced Marc Cucurella at halftime, while Mbappe and Vinicius began attacking Sociedad's defence more directly. The visitors suddenly found it much harder to deal with Madrid's pace.

The breakthrough came in the 60th minute. Mbappe combined beautifully with Jude Bellingham inside the penalty area. The pair exchanged a quick one-two before Mbappe calmly finished past Remiro to restore Madrid's lead. That goal completely changed the mood inside the stadium.

Eight minutes later, Madrid struck again. Bellingham worked hard to win possession close to Sociedad's goal before setting up Vinícius. The Brazilian was left with a simple finish from close range, making it 3-1.

At that point, Sociedad were struggling to stay in the game. Madrid continued to attack rather than simply protect their lead, and Mbappé was clearly hungry for another goal. His big moment arrived in the 80th minute, when Vinicius produced a clever pass through the Sociedad defence and found Mbappe in space. With Remiro coming off his line, the Frenchman stayed calm and lifted the ball over the goalkeeper with a beautiful finish to complete the first hat-trick of the season.

The 4-1 victory gives Real Madrid two wins from their opening two La Liga matches after their earlier victory over Espanyol. More importantly, the performance showed just how dangerous Madrid can become when Mbappé and Vinícius find space around the opposition penalty area.

For Mourinho, his long-awaited return to the Bernabéu ended with a convincing victory.
