Match Report
At Parken Stadium, Man United boss Erik Ten Hag played his team in his usual 4-2-3-1 formation. Rasmus Hojlund played in the center of the attack, while Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho were in the two wide flanks. On the flip, Copenhagen's boss set up his team formation with 4-3-3. Anyway, the game started with Manchester United taking an early lead. The Red Devils had gone ahead of the match in just three minutes when Danish striker Rasmus Hojlund found the net with the help of Scott McTominay. Hojlund, however, completed his brace after a while. In the 28th minute, the striker found the net once again and made the scoreline 2-0. The match was under Man United's full control after these two goals, but the drama was yet to start. In the 42nd minute, Marcus Rashford was sent off because of his important tackle on Elias Jelert. This red card has changed everything in the game. The home team put 10-man Man United under tremendous pressure and earned a much-needed goal just before halftime. Mohammad Elyounoussi scored that goal for Copenhagen and gave them a lifeline. After scoring the first goal, the home side went crazy and played aggressively. As a result, they earned a penalty kick whenever Harry Maguire made a handball inside the box in the injury time of the first half. Diogo Goncalves came forward to take the spot kick and made no mistake! As a result, the crazy first half ended in a 2-2 tie. Man United fought well after the break, even though they were one man down. In the 67th minute, the Red Devils got a penalty as Leregar made a handball inside the box. However, captain Bruno Fernandes netted the ball successfully and made the scoreline 3-2. It seemed Manchester United would win the match, but luck was not in their favor. Man United conceded two more goals in the final ten minutes as FC Copenhagen reacted quickly. Lucas Leregar scored for Copenhagen in the 83rd minute and leveled the scoreline. The home team netted another goal within four minutes to seal a thrilling victory. This time Roony Bardghji found the net for the home team in the 87th minute and confirmed Man United's humiliating defeat at Parken Stadium.Related reading
