Valencia 2-2 Real Madrid
Mastella, the home of Valencia, has always been a difficult place for Real Madrid. Last night, the Los Blancos traveled to Mastella to play against Valencia. Valencia boss Rubén Baraja set up the formation with 4-4-2, while Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti played his team in a 4-3-1-2 formation. However, the match started with the home side surprising the league leader. Valencia got the much-awaited lead when Hugo Duro converted Perez's brilliant cross into a goal in the 27th minute. The first goal was a massive boost for Valencia, and they became more aggressive following the opener. As a result, the home side didn't have to wait much to double the lead over Real Madrid. Valencia doubled their lead within three minutes, thanks to Real Madrid's defensive error. Dani Carvajal tried to pass the ball to the goalkeeper, but Roman Yaremchuk stole the ball and beat the goalkeeper to make the scoreline 2-0. Real Madrid, however, returned a goal as Vinicius Junior gave a lifeline to the Los Blancos in the injury time of the first half. Vinicius found the back of the net in the 45+5 minute with the help of Rodrygo. After the break, both teams tried their best to score more goals. But it was Real Madrid who found the net first in the second half. Vinicius, once again, stepped forward to rescue the Los Blancos. He leveled the scoreline in the 78th minute from Brahim Diaz's assist. It was in the very last seconds of injury time when the real drama unfolded. The match officials provided ten minutes as the additional time, and Jude Bellingham scored a goal in the very last second. But it was ruled out as the referee blew the whistle when the ball was in the air! As a result, the match ended in a dramatic 2-2 tie at Mastella . But Real Madrid didn't want to accept the referee's decision, especially Jude Bellingham kept arguing with the referee. Consequently, Bellingham received a red card and the points have been shared with the two teams.Related reading
