After a very difficult start in the English Premier League, Manchester United are finally having good days. They lost three of their first six games and tied one. But the Red Devils made a strong comeback and have entered the top four. Following a great win against Liverpool at Anfield, Manchester United have extended their winning run by defeating Brentford FC today at Old Trafford. This is the very first time Manchester United have won three games in a row under Ruben Amorim.

Match Report

Manchester United were very aggressive from the start and had several attempts. But the success came when Brazilian forward Matheus Cunha got his very first goal for the Red Devils in the 24th minute. Casemiro was there to build up the goal. He provided a clever pass toward Cunha and Cunha took a brilliant shot outside of the box, which beat the Seagull's keeper to find the back of the net. Brighton tried hard to find the equalizer, but Man United doubled their lead with an unexpected goal just 10 minutes before the break. It was Casemiro again behind the goal as his powerful shot reflected off Brighton's defender and found the net. Coming from the break, Brighton continued to break Man United's defense. But Bryan Mbeumo's goal in the 61st minute almost secured the match for the Red Devils. It seemed Man United were going to win this match easily, but Brighton made it difficult when Danny Welbeck scored a fantastic goal from a free-kick in the 74th minute. The situation became worse for the Red Devils when they conceded the second goal in injury time. It was Kostoulas who gave Brighton hope by scoring a goal in the 90+2nd minute. The Red Devils' fans were concerned about whether they could draw the match. But Bryan Mbeumo came forward to secure all three points. He completed his brace in the last minute of the injury time and sealed a dominating 4-2 win over Brighton at Old Trafford, which moved Man United to third place with just three points behind Arsenal at the top. Man United manager Ruben Amorim shared his thoughts on winning the game. He is very pleased with the performance and said, “[It] was really important. Also, the performance, we had to play different games In different moments of the game, and I think the players understood really well what to do in every moment. We suffered a little bit in the end. But it would not be Manchester United without suffering a little bit. But I think we deserved the win against a very, very good team, a team that is really hard to press really high. But we did well.”
