New Zealand secured the home series against Sri Lanka by winning the third T20 at Queenstown. The series was tied 1-1, but the home team sealed the series today by beating Sri Lanka by four wickets. Toss: Tom Latham, the captain of New Zealand, won the toss and opted to bat bowl first in the 3rd T20.

Sri Lanka had a flying start

Losing the toss, Sri Lanka started their batting innings with Pathum Nissanka and Kusal Mendis. The two openers brought a flying start for the Lankans. They made a brilliant partnership of 76 runs in 9.3 overs. Kusal Mendis was very aggressive between the wickets. He smashed five sixes and six fours to score 73 off 48 balls.
