Bayern beat PSG
Paris Saint-Germain have been trying to get their first-ever UCL title for years. That is why they had spent cash on buying stars. Despite having so many stars, Paris Saint-Germain once again failed to win against Bayern Munich. Last night, PSG hosted FC Bayern Munich at Parc des Princess to play the first leg of the round of 16. But the home team was outplayed by the visitors. PSG boss played his team in a 4-4-2, where Leo Messi and Neymar led the attack. Kylian Mbappe was on the bench in the first half as he was a bit injured. On the other hand, Bayern boss Julian Nagelsmann set up his team formation with 3-4-2-1. The manager played a gamble using three center-backs. He used Joao Cancelo and Kingsley Koman as the wing-backs. But Koman had the freedom to go upper side. The first half was under Bayern's control. They kept more possession and created many chances. However, PSG also had some opportunity to score, but both teams failed to find the net in the 1st half. Therefore, the first half ended in a 0-0. Returning from the break, the PSG boss deployed Kylian Mbappe. The Frenchman boosted PSG's attack. However, it was Bayern who found the net first. In the 53rd minute, Bayern Munich took the lead as Kingsley Koman scored from a fantastic cross from Alphonso Davis. After that, PSG got crazy to find the equalizer. In the 82nd minute, PSG got a goal as Mbappe scored. But after the VAR check, the goal was disallowed due to offside. The home team failed to score in the remaining minutes. As a result, Bayern Munich won the important away game and have gone one step closer to the Quarter Final.Related reading
