As It Happened

In a do-or-die match in the FA Cup, Wolverhampton Wanderers welcomed Brentford FC in the Molineux Stadium. Wolves boss Gary O'Neil set up the team formation with a 3-4-3 formation, where Matheus Cunha led the attack along with Pablo Sarabia and Jeanricner Bellegarde. On the other hand, Brentford boss Thomas Frank set up the team formation with 3-5-2. Although the Wolves were the home side, Brentford were very dominating in the first 30 minutes. The Bees were very aggressive since the beginning and got an early lead when defender Nathan Collins broke the deadlock with a beautiful finish in the 13th minute. The home side, however, tried very hard to find the equalizer, but Brentford defended very well in the first half. However, with Wolves' all efforts, the home side finally found the net in the very last moment of the first half. Wolves midfielder Nelson Semedo gave the lifeline as he found the equalizer in the 36th minute. The two sides, however, couldn't find the net in the remaining minutes of the first half.
