Enzo Maresca is set to join Chelsea FC

It's been a very difficult season for London side club Chelsea FC, as they failed to qualify for the UEFA Champions League under Mauricio Pochettino. Chelsea have changed five managers in two years since Todd Boehly took over the club from Roman Abramovic.

However, Todd Boehly does not want to waste time searching for a new coach. Chelsea have been linked with many managers, including Thomas Tuchel, Kieran McKenna, Enzo Maresca, and many more. But the club is close to signing Enzo Maresca, under whom Leicester City have qualified for the Premier League.

According to reports, Enzo Maresca is also keen to join the London side club. It is said that the Italian manager has already reached an agreement with Chelsea regarding the appointment. Meanwhile, Leicester City also reached an agreement with Chelsea about Enzo Maresca. The Blues are expected to pay around £8 to £10 million to Leicester as the release clause.

However, Enzo Maresca will sign a long-term contract with Chelsea. Chelsea have prepared a five-year deal with the Italian manager, which will keep him at Stamford Bridge until 2029.

Chelsea was also in touch with Kieran McKenna, the manager of Ipswich Town. However, the club has informed Kieran McKenna on Sunday that Chelsea are looking elsewhere.

Who is Enzo Maresca?

Enzo Maresca has not been a high-profile manager yet. He was the assistant manager at Manchester City under Pep Guardiola, who left his job at Etihad and joined the Championships side Leicester City as the head coach last summer.

As the head coach of Leicester City, Maresca managed less than 70 games this season, and among them, he managed only 53 matches in England.

Enzo Maresca won the Championship title with 97 points, only one point ahead of Ipswich Town. As a result, Maresca took Leicester City to the English Premier League.
