BPL: Sylhet Strikers qualify for the Final

Sylhet Strikers had a decent start
Losing the toss, Sylhet Strikers started their batting innings with Twohid Hridoy and Najmul Hossain Shanto. The two openers gave Sylhet a decent start. Because of their dominating batting, Sylhet Strikers didn't lose a wicket in the powerplay. However, the first breakthrough came in the 9th over as Najmul Hossain Shanto lost his wicket to Mehedi Hasan after scoring 40 off 30 balls. Towhid Hridoy also followed the same path in the next over, leaving the crease with 25 runs. After that, Mashrafee Mortaza surprised the bowlers as he came into the pitch on the 3rd wicket. Anyway, the captain did well. He added a quick 28 runs from 16 balls.Perera and Linde boosted up the scoreboard
Sylhet Strikers lost some wickets in the middle order. But Thisara Perera and George Linde boosted up the scoresheet in the lower order. Both were very aggressive on the pitch. Although Thisara Perera lost his wicket after scoring 21 off 15, George Linde remained not out in 21 of 10 balls. Chasing the target, Rangpur Riders lost an early wicket but recovered well. Opener Rony Talukdar made a partnership of 31 runs with Shamim Hossain. After Shamim's departure, Rony made another partnership of 34 runs with Nicholas Pooran. Their partnership was looking good, But Pooran lost his wicket in the 9th over after scoring 30 runs. The captain, then, stepped into the pitch and was heading the team toward the target. With Rony Talukdar, he made a partnership of 82 runs. It seemed Rangpur could chase the target. But Tanzin Shakib changed the momentum as he picked up Nurul Hasan and Rony Talukdar in the 18th over. After that, Rangpur Riders couldn't stand again. Their innings came to an end with 163 runs. As a result, Sylhet Strikers won the match by 19 runs and booked the final.Related reading
